MISSION

The mission of the Department of English Translation and Interpreting at Kütahya Dumlupınar University is to educate graduates who possess theoretical and practical knowledge in translation studies, are proficient in at least two foreign languages, can effectively integrate translation and language technologies into their professional practice, are equipped with an interdisciplinary perspective, possess a strong sense of professional ethics and social responsibility, think critically and analytically, and establish effective communication between cultures and societies through multilingual communication skills—to meet the needs of the national and international language services sector and academia.

VISION

Our department’s vision is to be a leading Translation and Interpreting program that establishes strong partnerships with sectoral and regional stakeholders in the fields of translation education, language technologies, and intercultural communication, and is preferred at both the national and international levels for its academic excellence and the employability of its graduates.
