Prof. Dr. Burcu Gökgöz Kurt, the "Artificial Intelligence, Translation Technologies, and Cultural Transfer: Research in Translation Studies Poster Presentation Event II” will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, from 10:30 to 16:00 at the Faculty foyer area. The student symposium titled “Current Issues and Professional Ethics in Translation,” organized by the Department of Translation and Interpreting at Kütahya Dumlupınar University, was successfully held on June 3, 2025. During the event, fourth-year students presented their semester research projects prepared for the course “Current Issues and Professional Ethics in Translation,” taught by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Derya SUBAŞI. The symposium aimed to enhance students’ academic awareness and help them develop a critical perspective in Translation Studies. The presentations addressed topics such as different theoretical approaches to translation, the impact of artificial intelligence on translation, issues of cultural transfer, and translation ethics. The question-and-answer sessions following each presentation fostered an interactive and engaging discussion environment among participants. At the end of the symposium, certificates of participation were presented to all contributing students. Closely followed by the academic staff of our department, the event made a significant contribution to students’ academic development and professional awareness. We would like to thank all students and faculty members who participated and contributed, and we wish our students continued success in their research journeys
Research in Translation Studies Poster Presentation Event, held on June 2, 2025, provided an important platform for our undergraduate students to gain firsthand experience in the academic research process and to share their work. At the event, fourth-year students presented their semester research projects prepared for the course “Research in Translation Studies,” taught by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Burcu Gökgöz Kurt. Through their poster presentations, students introduced a wide range of topics in translation studies and had the opportunity to interact with their peers and faculty members, receiving constructive feedback. The event, organized by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Burcu Gökgöz Kurt and Res. Asst. Hanımnur Mercan, enabled students to actively engage in all stages of the research process—from planning and data analysis to reporting and presenting. We thank all students and faculty members who participated and contributed, and we wish our students continued success in their research journeys.
